FAQ
Questions families often ask.
Do you clone their voice with AI?
Never. We only use authentic excerpts from their original recordings, edited with their consent. The AI producer’s narration is always clearly distinct.
Is this therapy?
No. KinFM is a family biography service, not therapy or medical care. It does not diagnose conditions or promise health benefits. If signs of crisis arise, the interview stops, local support resources are provided, and the session is flagged for human review. That material is never used in an episode.
How do they record their story?
On a phone or computer, with a question guide. After payment, we coordinate by email and send a private link to upload the recordings.
What happens to the recordings and personal data?
Recordings are processed with the paid Google Gemini API and are not used for model training. Stripe processes payments. Provider terms: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms. We do not share recordings with a printer: the printed book is not sold today. Data and recordings are deleted on request by emailing privacidad@kinfm.com. You can also request access, correction, or withdraw consent there. Keep your downloads: we cannot delete copies your family has downloaded or shared.
Which languages are available?
Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian, French, and German. The original voice is always preserved.
Who reviews the episodes?
People on our team review every episode before delivery. Questions about memories or dates are checked privately with the family.
Do grandchildren talk directly to the AI?
No. An adult records or uploads the grandchildren’s questions so they can be woven into the conversation. The AI never speaks with children.
